It is made of equal parts of sea salt or Himalayan salt, Epsom salt, apple cider vinegar, baking soda and 10 drops of lavender oil. Dissolve the salts and baking soda in warm water. Add apple cider vinegar and essential oil directly in the tub. The lavender oil makes your skin glow and is often used in aromatherapy for its healing properties. The salts cleanse pores without stripping the natural oil of the skin.
This bath needs equal parts of bentonite clay, Epsom salt and 10 drops of your choice of essential oil. Make a paste of bentonite clay and warm water and apply it on the skin. Wait for 5 minutes (to dry) and then jump into the tub with the essential oil and Epsom salt. The clay draws our lot of toxins from the skin through adsorption. It replenishes the skin and soothes acne inflammation too.
For this, you would need equal parts of mustard powder and Epsom salt. It is best if you powder the mustard seeds just before the bath. It is a prevalent ancient remedy in England for aches and skin purification. It stimulates blood circulation and relieves congestion as well. You may sweat a lot while taking a mustard detox bath, so make sure you are well hydrated.
It is normal to feel tired and or lightheaded after a detox bath. Before trying any of the ingredients, do consult a professional if you suffer from any skin conditions or health issues.
