The pandemic has caused havoc globally, and lockdowns have forced people to stay indoors. This has led to a sedentary life, which is detrimental to physical health as well as mental health. Even though you may be stuck at home, it’s essential to have an organized schedule in place.
It’s no surprise that working out can help prevent the onset of many diseases and help in managing prevalent ailments effectively. Being active every day releases the feel-good hormone known as endorphin, which helps counter feelings of negativity and depression. Here are a few tips to help you to stay safe and healthy during these unprecedented times.
Eat healthy: When you eat healthily, you help to decrease the risk of many severe ailments like diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and obesity and so on. Stay away from processed foods and foods laden with sugar. Opt for fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains and carbohydrates. Also, ensure UR getting adequate vitamins and minerals through the food you eat.
Sleep well: When there is sleep deprivation, it impacts health negatively. So, make sure you are getting adequate sleep, daily. Usually, six to nine hours of sleep should be good. When you sleep soundly, UR body can repair its cells and get rid of toxins. Sufficient sleep is also essential for psychological well-being. Maintain a proper sleep pattern and limit electronic screen time for uninterrupted sleep.

Just 30 minutes a day will be helpful. If you don’t like these types of physical activities, try jogging in one place or use a skipping rope. Do some sit-ups or push-ups at home. If all else doesn’t work for you, walk up and down the stairs in UR home or building.
Meditate: Practicing meditation helps to calm UR brain. It is most effective before going to bed as it helps to relax the body. Studies suggest that the daily practice of meditation improves the overall quality of URLife. It helps to keep you physically and emotionally healthy. Meditation also helps to treat depression, mood disorders, emotional issues and anxiety. So, meditate regularly to stay motivated and to help keep UR body and mind healthy!
Maintain social distance: Staying in touch with UR loved ones and friends is very important during this time. It is as essential as eating healthy, staying active, sleeping well and exercising. But since it’s dangerous to venture out too often and to meet many people at a time, try to keep in touch virtually. Call your friends and family through video calls, voice calls, or via social media platforms. Doing this will help you stay connected with each other and at the same time will also keep you safe!
