- Brown rice flour: 3 cups
- Finely chopped: 2 onions
- Dill leaves / sabsige soppu: 3 tbsp.
- Finely chopped coriander: 3 tbsp.
- Finely chopped curry leaves: 3 tbsp.
- Grated ginger: 1 inch
- Finely chopped chillies: 2
- Cumin: 1 tsp.
- Salt according to taste
- Water as required
- Oil for roasting the rottis
Step 1 :
In a large bowl add the rice flour. Make sure you choose fine rice flour and not the coarse type.
Step 2 :
Add in the onions, dill leaves, coriander, curry leaves, ginger, chillies, cumin and salt.
Step 3 :
Add ¾ cup water to the flour and start mixing. Add more water as required and knead into smooth and soft dough. Ensure you don’t exert too much pressure. Keep the ready akki rotti dough aside.
Grease a tawa with some oil. Place the greased tawa on medium flame. Take a-ball sized piece of dough and tap it gently into a thin roti shape. Place the roti on to the greased tawa.
Cook on both sides and add some oil on the roti until it turns golden brown.
